By accessing or using VibeCheck ("the Service", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time — continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

2 Description of Service

VibeCheck is a social platform that allows users to:

• Check in to physical locations and share vibe scores
• View real-time vibe scores and crowd levels at nearby places
• Share check-in cards on social media
• Discover new places added by the community
• Add new places to the map for others to discover

3 User Accounts

To use certain features you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, notes, voice recordings, place names). By submitting content, you grant VibeCheck a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

You agree not to post content that is:

• False, misleading, or defamatory
• Offensive, harassing, or hateful
• In violation of any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
• Spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation without our consent
• Illegal under applicable law

We may remove content that violates these standards without notice.

5 Location Data

The Service uses your device's location to show nearby places and enable check-ins. Location access is optional — you may use the Service without granting location permission, though some features will be limited. We do not store your precise real-time location on our servers; only the location you explicitly check in to is recorded.

6 Place Data & Third-Party Sources

Place information on VibeCheck is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors (© OpenStreetMap, ODbL licence) and user submissions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any place listing. Always verify place information independently.

7 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Create fake check-ins or manipulate vibe scores
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service

8 Intellectual Property

The VibeCheck name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by VibeCheck and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence.

9 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VibeCheck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.

10 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

11 Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
